Marc J. Zuckerman, MD is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine, did his Residency in Internal Medicine at Baystate Medical Center (Tufts), and did his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, a Fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association. He has been a member of the Standards of Practice Committee of the ASGE and the Practice Parameters Committee of the ACG. His clinical interests include epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders. His clinical research has focused on the epidemiology of irritable bowel syndrome. He has published on the epidemiology of bowel complaints in Hispanics, as well as on irritable bowel syndrome in Vietnam, and geographic variation in intestinal permeability.
